ACTION PLAYBOOK:

Contact Your State Legislators

Your state legislators have the power to enact transformative climate policy.

It’s your legislators’ job to represent you, but they rarely hear about climate concerns and solutions from their constituents. It doesn’t take much to encourage them to prioritize climate action: A majority of congressional staffers have said that fewer than 10 emails from constituents could be enough to get a member of Congress to pay attention to a particular issue. For state legislators, that number of emails is likely even fewer.
